Job Description

Responsible for leading how the SOC team will monitor, identify, analyse, report and react to field security operations. Portfolio of responsibilities will include managing the SOC Team and providing oversight of the Field Security Operations and Client Service Delivery to ensure the Service Outcomes for customers are met within Service Level Agreement expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of the Security Operations function
  • Oversees the activity of the SOC Operator team, including on-going training /certification and assessing staff adhere to performance management and disciplinary processes. .
  • First line monitoring and management of all systems within the Physical Security Operations Centre
  • Detection of incidents (attempted burglaries)
  • Recommend/Implement system/procedural enhancements to improve overall service levels.
  • Completion of month end reports, analysis and statistics for control room for SMT meetings
  • Recommend/Implement system/procedural enhancements to improve overall service levels.
  • Investigate every positive incident with RCAT. Close out to prevent repeat findings
  • Communicate with the team on outcome of investigations,
  • Initiate disciplinary/corrective actions based on outcome of investigations

Job Requirements

  • Diploma in management/Diploma in security related qualification (NQF5 )
  • PSIRA A grade
  • Security systems certificate
  • Experience 5-7 years in a control room environment
  • Experience of 7 years in a  supervisory/management capacity in managing a team
  • Drafting of procedures and work instructions
  • Proven ability to train and guide others
  • Background/experience with Patriot systems (both monitoring and management of systems)
  • Communication (both verbal and written)
  • Resilient (remains calm in emotional situations)
  • Strong Emotional Intelligence
  • Knowledgeable on Google applications
  • Knowledge of incident management
  • Has a good understanding of system networks
  • Able to work shifts if required and travel on request
